Things I Didnt Know Before Illinois When I think back to what I wish I knew before I came to Illinois, one of the first things that comes to mind is all the things that I didnt imagine Id be doing here. I feel like one of the best things about going to a school like Illinois, with lots of different people and opportunities, is that you really have a variety of things to learn about and get involved in. One of the things that comes to mind is my internship. Im not sure why, but I didnt consider the fact that I might have one at school, and I definitely didnt know how much I would absolutely love working at ATLAS. (Eventually, I should do another post about having an internship here at school.) Another thing that I definitely did not picture when thinking about life at Illinois is my involvement in research studies. Being involved in research studies is a very interesting experience, and has given me additional opportunities to exercise, which is great! In conclusion, I think that what I would tell my newly admitted self would be just to wait and see what happens. Being here has given me so many opportunities to connect with different people and find out about exciting opportunities. Its completely fine if you are not quite sure what you want to spend your time on at Illinoisâ€"youll have plenty of chances to find out! Sarah Class of 2018 I'm from Grand Rapids, Michigan. I'm majoring in Communication in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
